December 22, 2004 - 2:54pm: Update

Lots of new scarves are up! A few hats, and some mittens are up as well. Haven't had time to do the archives yet, but check out the new scarves/hats/mittens in the mean time! Happy Holidays everyone!

November 9, 2004 - 4:48pm: A few new things

Mannequin pics are finally up! There's still some pictures to be taken and put up here because I have indeed finished more items. Also, Friday night I taught myself how to crochet and I'm tearin through a blanket right now. It's going really quick and it's lime green, off white, and turquise blue. Lauren and Chris found the most awesome yarn store - The Village Yarn Shop in downtown Rochester. It's seriously the greatest thing ever, so much selection and amazing color spectrum as well! When I have money again, I quest to visit there more often. Once I get the chance, I'll get to work on those archived links to the right --->

October 31, 2004 - 10:57pm: Long awaited update

Well, it's been a while, but I'm back. I did a slight re-design/re-arrange thing for some design and code improvement. Since the last update I have finished many things and even gotten a mannequin! I've been working hard on my Christmas knitting. Be sure to check out the new items and new pictures with the mannequin soon.

August 17, 2004 - 11:45am: Lots of updates!

I've got a ton of updates to mention. There has been additions to the hats page, scarves page, and other page! I finished Jen's scarf and Gabe's as well (I was ambitious and ended up making a matching hat with extra yarn for Gabe too) and Kevin's yarn has been ordered. In addition, pictures of all that stuff, plus the 5 felted tote bags were put online. I've also figured out prices and put those on the items as well. I updated the yarn stash page a little, but it's difficult to do that w/out looking at it wile I update (same goes for the needle inventory). But lots of progress has been made and expect more again soon!

August 9, 2004 - 4:43pm: Felted totes and marble magnets

So I've been busy. Busy making a felted tote bag. Well if that wasn't enough, I brought it into work and then shortly recieved 4 orders because everyone wanted one. It was crazy! So I gave everyone a color chart and had them pick their colors. I'll have them 100% complete by Wednesday/Thursday (that's the goal). I have one left to felt and block. I'll have pics up too before I give them away. I better not forget!

On another note, I've been infatuated with making marble magnets. Nothing to do w/ knitting, but it's quite crafty so I may make a section on here, who knows. They're extremely addicting to make and I think they would make fabulous gifts. Well, that's just a quick update as to what I've been up to. I've got quite a few things on my plate. Future/present projects include a scarf for Jen (in progress), scarf for Gabe, HP scarf for Kevin, and a sweater for myself. I'm hoping to get the Jen scarf done before fall, and the Gabe and Kevin scarves done before xmas. Wishful thinking, but we will see. Kevin's will take a while though I think because of the smaller needles and that it's knit double like a tube. So much knitting, so little time. Oh and the knitting group at Panera is really awesome!

July 22, 2004 - 10:46am: Two new hats and three scarves added

Okay, there are three new scarves up and two new baby hats up. The next big goals for this site will be to start taking measurements of the finished pieces to put on here, start archiving these updates, gathering my information on all the new needles I've recently aquired, and start adding the prices for each thing. I'll need to start consulting excel to figure prices out, because it's all depending on how much the yarn costs (i need to be able to turn a small profit at least!) and how long it took to make. So, be expecting some more meaningful details to the stuff soon. Another thing I need to do is start sewing in my laauuren labels to my finished stuff. But, that's aside from the website. I'll be making Jen a scarf soon with some beautiful chenille yarn - I might try to cable too! There was a small stitch n' bitch last night I went to, it was cool, the other girl Sarah is really nice, and she's talented! She was making gloves!

July 6, 2004 - 11:05am: Finally some pictures!

Although it's taken me an insane amount of time just to get some pictures of completed projects done, well, here they are! Done! Sofar I've got 6 scarves up here, 4 hats (missing one), and a baby blanket. More to come...

June 18, 2004 - 3:13pm: Big Bad Baby Blanket

Long time with no update, but then again, I was moving and it started getting hotter out and I honestly haven't been knitting lately. However, I finally finished the big bad baby blanket from stitch n' bitch to give to steves mom. Phew. I finished knitting it last night and have plans to weave in the hanging strings and do the blocking hopefully tonight or tomorrow. Woohoo! I'll try to not forget about this site and my plans for it and post pictures. As of now since we moved, my knitting stuff has been living in the trunk of my car. How awful.

March 8, 2004 - 11:14am: Updates

Since I've last updated I've finished a few more hats, one with fun fur, one with kitty ears and earflaps, and one half-done hat that's gonna have devil horns and has one pom pom on it sofar - very similar to the kitty hat (straight outta my stitch n' bitch book). I finally picked up an old scarf project that I had quit a few months back and finished that up, so that was fun. I started knitting a hat to go with it, but I think I cast on too many stitches and it looks too big after about 6 rows or so. So that's on hold til I figure out the deal with it. Hopefully I will take pictures soon so this site can be more complete. I ran into a few SSI issues so that's what I've been holding off on for a while. Now that that's fixed, I hope to take pics and update the real content.

February 25, 2004 - 9:30am: First hat

I finished my first hat last night! Then I made a second one with fun fur and it took me 3.5hrs to complete. The double pointed needles weren't that big of a deal I guess. So I am excited! Nicki got a celebrity scarves book from the library for me and it's awesome! Really inspiring and I'll be using some patterns from there really soon. Once I finish the never ending pink and black scarf. I think it's half done.

February 24, 2004 - 4:57pm: First post

I guess this is a good place to start. I've been meaning to give laauuren.com a facelift and more of a purpose. Since my knitting has taken off to the extreme lately (it's all I do now), I figured I could make this site about that. So hey, here is the first update to the site - it will grow over time. I got some double pointed needles today and I'm going to try to finish off that first hat tonight if I can figure out how to with the new needles.
